We made to Beijing Thursday night. It has been a crazy few days since. We have visited so much in the short time we have been here. Friday we went to Silk Factory, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City. Saturday we climbed the Great Wall and became heros according to our guide, George. We also visited the Jade Factory and Olympic Stadium. We ended the day by going to the Acrobatic Show. Amazing! Sunday was a day of travel to Zhengzhou, Henan. Our guide Rita took us to Walmart to shop for some things. Walmart was 3 floors with escalators for your carts. My nephew, Jacob, would love it! The amount of scooters and bicycles on the street is something to see. I will post some pictures soon of the things we have seen.Today Is Gotcha Day! It is the day I will get Ana. Most of the families here are doing this for the second time. There are only 2 others besides myself that are first time parents. The people we have met in our group are wonderful. We are quickly getting to know each other as we share in this amazing experience. We will all go the registration office today to meet our children and bring them back with us. So exciting but you can also sense some tension as we head into a week that is faced with a lot of unknowns. I will post pictures of Ana as soon as I can.

Glad you are enjoying this adventure. We are thinking of you constantly and praying that Ana falls in love with her MaMa as quickly as Lila did. We love you!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you with Ana! Best wishes and hope you get to get into the orphanage! If you do, try to get an email address from the director. The one we got does not work.
