A little bit about Ana's birthplace.

Ana is from Hebi, Henan, a beautiful city known for its rich culture and history.

Hebi is a prefecture-level city lying in the northern part of Henan Province. Situated east of Taihang Mountain, the city is adjacent to Anyang to the north and Xinxiang to the south. Mainly hills between Taihang Mountain and Northern China Plain, Hebi covers an area of 2,182 sq km and has a population of 1.5 million. Located in the subtropical monsoon zone, the city enjoys a temperate, mild climate and four distinct seasons.

History: Dating back to the Xia Dynasty (21st - 16th century BC), Hebi was just three individual states belonging to different kingdoms. It was not until the West Han Dynasty (206BC-24) when the two counties Qixian and Junxian as well as Dangyinxian (today's Hebi inner city) formed. Later dynasties witnessed the change of the three areas, and finally in 1957, Dangyinxian was changed into Hebi City. In 1986, two more counties, Qianxian and Junxian, were brought under the control of Hebi City.

Hebi has a splendid culture. Legend has it that the first ancient army school was set up in Hebi. A great many literary figures, such as Tao Yuanming and Liu Zongyuan, have traveled into the city and praised the historical and cultural sites in the region.

Hebi has plentiful historical and cultural sites, such as the Ancient Great Wall of the Warring States Period, the Ancient Porcelain Kiln Site of the Song Dynasty, and the Ancient Coal Mine Site of the Song Dynasty. The city is also rich in natural scenic spots, including Mount Yunmeng, Mount Dapi, Mount Fuqiu and the Qi River Natural Taichi Diagram. Mount Yumeng is situated southwest of Qixian and is reputed for its beautiful mountain scenery. Qi River Natural Taichi Diagram lies northwest of the urban city. It consists of many historical sites and beautiful river scenes.

Hebi has many tasty local snacks, including Can Si Ji Dan (colorful steaming eggs), Wangqiao Bean-curd and Dongling Grass Tea (made of Chinese medical herbs), Junxian tofu and Fenpi (sheet jelly made of bean or potato starch), Qi River crustaceans.
